New Project Introduction | Kids December Through The Years!

New Project Introduction | Kids December Through The Years!

Hi everyone and welcome back! Today I am introducing a new project that I am working on for our children and I am so excited to share it with you. My daughter Natalie has been threatening for a long time that when she moves out, she is taking all the December Daily albums with her. I am sure you can imagine how I feel about that! Ha! So I decided that I could create a December Through The Years album for each of our children that they can take with them. This will be a great way to use up the endless December themed supplies I own, plus it will allow each child to have an album of their Christmas memories to take with them. Check out how I am accomplishing this!

Creating hybrid pages, using templates and physical products together, seemed like the best way to streamline the journaling and printing processes. This way I can keep track of the years I have included, and the pages will come together much quicker as well. For today’s layout I have printed out photos for 2-3×4 pockets plus a 3×8 template to use as an insert. The template is this one from Ali Edwards: December Stories 3×8 Layered Templates.

For the 3×4 photos, simply slid them into the pocket and added a star + word strip to one. Underneath I had a 4×6 pocket, so I used the Merry card from Paislee Press. This serves as a date stamp, which I have added using the Becky Higgins date stamp, and then for embellishment I added the chipboard trees. These trees brought in the color green, which I then repeated with the transparency that has green stars. Underneath the transparency is the now-printed template with two more photos + the journaling for the story. At the top I added the number 1, since she is one year old, layered on top of the little circle sticker.

That is all for today! I am really happy with how this album is coming along already. I hope you will enjoy seeing other ways to use December Daily products through this project. See you again soon!
